  5. Am I the only person on this planet who thinks that Street Fighter
  6. II on the Amiga is complete *&$^&*&^ ?...Let me just give a short
  7. review............

  9. The graphics are big and colourful (or color for the Americans)
  10. but they move slower than a dead sloth (A sloth is a sluggish
  11. American animal... I had to look it up in the dictionary! - Ed)
  12. compared to the arcade. This style of beat`em-up is so rubbish.
  13. There is one screen with two fighters...... Hmmmm....a lot of scope
  14. for gameplay changes there isn't there?.......No, I don't think so
  15. either. Not only are the graphics useless, but the music is almost as
  16. bad as Axl Rose with a throat infection. (You've upset all the Guns
  17. and Roses fans out there now...... - Ed)

  19. Having played Street Fighter II on the SNES, there is no excuse
  20. to produce rubbish like that. Also, with Body Blows out, which is
  21. much smoother and better to play because about sixty moves haven't
  22. been crammed onto a one-button joystick. I reckon this will show SF2
  23. up completely even though SF2 will probably sell dozens more copies
  24. because some people can't see through the hype.........

  30. Right, while we're on the subject of moaning at over-hyped games
  31. that are not worth the disk they're put on............
  32. Kick Off 2............Is Amiga Power the only magazine in the entire
  33. universe that admits that this game is indeed a load of excrement?
  34. (Is this a blatant and obvious attempt at narking all Kick Off 2
  35. fans so that we have more articles next time ? .... I think so - Ed)

  37. Everyone else seems to think that it is brilliant.

  39. One: The graphics are small and Amstrad-like.

  41. Two: You have the ball, another player tries to tackle you, so you
  42. turn to avoid the player and the ball flies of your foot. (To bloody
  43. realistic innit ? - Ed) Then the opposition takes the ball dwon the
  44. field and scores.
  45. Three: you can only see a very small segment of the pitch and so you
  46. can't see anybody to pass to. O.K., you have a scanner but you only
  47. have time for a quick glance and by the time you have found yourself
  48. on the scanner the opposition has tackled you...............Why don't
  49. other magazines admit it is total rubbish?..........

  51. Wizball................Wierd it may be, but entertaining is what
  52. counts not how many times the word `fish' appears. (It doesn't in
  53. this game........it's a metaphor).

  55. The latest game that might appear on the list of over-hyped trash
  56. is Mortal Kombat. With only a couple of months to save up some hard
  57. saved cash, I just hope the game is better than the advert.

  59. You also get games that are brilliant but because there wasn't
  60. loads of money spent on advertising people think it is rubbish....

  62. Hunter............This is about the best example. At the time three
  63. dimensional games were just coming of age. This is a fine example of
  64. it's genre. There are loads of weapons to kill the enemy with, and
  65. along with the vehicles you can drive and various other equipment,
  66. this game is superb..........

  68. Heimdall, another game that happened to be really good despite the
  69. lack of advertising. One of my favourite games of all time (see the
  70. top and bottom ten of all-time article).

  72. But very occasionally the advertising people get it right. Syndicate
  73. had quite a lot of hype slapped to it especially just a month before
  74. it's release. But even so I bought it and it is now my favourite
  75. game of all-time. So, well done those advertising people.

  82. "Wahay" ??? I think I'll stick to "Wehay !" Right... Let's try again...
